Makers Kit

Posted on February 17, 2014 by James Agee Posted in Lifestyle .

Makers Kit Dino TerrariumIn the digital technology age that we live in, it’s sometimes nice to take a break from the stress of day to day life and make something special with our hands. Makers Kit is a company that really seems to understand the connection between people and making things themselves. I mean think about it, the gifts that you have gotten over the years have all been great, but the ones that really stick out in you mind are the ones that someone took the time to make for you. Simply put, making something with your hands is an art and craft that still has a place in todays’ society!

You not only get a neat kit filled with everything you need to make whatever it is you’re making, but you get two very helpful guides that show you exactly what to do, step-by-step, in video lessons. You might just be surprised how easy these kits make it to create a one of a kind item. Take the Dino Terrarium for example, it’s very straight forward and the finished product is special because you took the time to make it. The world is full of makers, people who love to create, and Makers Kit is giving everyone the opportunity to take time and make something worth having!

You don’t need a lot of space to enjoy one of these kits, in fact you can easily use them in your dorm room, apartment, or anywhere that you have a few feet to move around in. I’m not joking when I say that absolutely anyone can enjoy this product. It doesn’t matter which kit you choose, they offer such a variety that you’re sure to find something that fits your interest. Make your own soap, blend your own tea, or build a terrarium, either way you will find enjoyment in slowing down and making something. Urban Cheesecraft

Posted on October 5, 2012 by James Agee Posted in Food .

Urban Cheesecraft KitOne of the most uncommon things anymore is to make your own food from scratch at home. Chances are, you love the quality and freshness of homemade foods, but the tricky directions and lengthy procedures frighten you away. If I were to ask you if you have ever contemplated making your own cheese, you would probably say no because the idea of making cheese at home is unheard of to the average person! Urban Cheesecraft is changing all of that and making homemade cheese accessible to everyone!

You don’t have to be a cook or know how to make complicated dishes to be able to make cheese, literally anyone can do it with the Cheese Kits from Urban Cheesecraft. The Cheese Kits include everything that you need to make cheese except a gallon of milk. The only thing you will need other than the kit itself is a gallon of milk. One other important thing to note is these kits make multiple batches of cheese, so there is plenty of room to test out new flavors and methods of making cheese.

The instructions on the Mozarella and Ricotta DIY Cheese Kit say that it takes around an hour to make the cheese, in fact we think it might have even taken less time when we made cheese with the kit! Who would’ve thought that you could make fresh homemade cheese in about an hours time?

Urban Cheesecraft Kit CheeseThe instructions that come in the kits are super easy to follow, no complicated wording or tricky steps! They are written so that anyone can understand the directions and there are even helpful hints and tips that make making cheese at home even easier and more fun. Oh, and don’t fret if your cheese doesn’t turn out exactly like it’s supposed to the first time, there are even instructions for what to do if a step doesn’t turn out the way it should, you will still have something delicious and edible to enjoy for your efforts.

This is one of those companies and products that is literally as good as they sound. We wouldn’t call ourselves chefs, yet on the first attempt with the easy to follow instructions we made some fantastic Mozzarella cheese infused with cheese salt and parsly. Making tasty homemade cheese accessable was their goal, and to that we say “Mission Accomplished!”

For more information on Urban Cheesecraft or to buy a Cheese Kit, please visit them online at UrbanCheesecraft.com.

Creature Cups are Back!

Posted on January 13, 2012 by kejohns323 Posted in Art, Lifestyle .

On December 7th 2011, ToastPop published an article titled “Thirst-Quenching Fun: Creature Cups” which described a really cool piece of dishware. In that blog it was mentioned that a greater selection of these mugs would be available this year, and I am writing to inform you about two new creatures you can find in the Creature Cups: a crocodile and a lobster! They’re offered at the same price the older animalistic creations are worth- $14.99 pre-S&H. However, it is posted that the newer products, as well as the old ones, are sold out. Yet, if you pre-order the crocodile or lobster Creature Cups now, they will be shipped by early February.

Enjoy your heated beverages in an entirely new way with Creature Cups! Being hand-crafted and dishwasher-safe, they are a creative and convenient addition to your kitchen cupboards. Purchase one of your own at creaturecups.com.

Thirst-Quenching Fun: Creature Cups

Posted on December 7, 2011 by kejohns323 Posted in Uncategorized .

Imagine you’re drinking a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. You glance down into the cup and see an otter or an octopus! Either you’re sipping from a Sea World aquarium, or you’re enjoying your drink from a creature cup. These animalistic creations are designed by Yumi, an artist based out of Brooklyn, New York. They’re sold online at Creaturecups.com. You get a selection of either the octopus or the otter cup, or you could get both. If you are a store owner (or if you know someone who is interested), you can order these to sell in your place of retail. Read the “info” page for contact info.

Creature Cups are hand-made, dishwasher-safe and cost about fifteen dollars before shipping and handling. If you’re looking to buy one in the near future, they are unfortunately sold out at the moment. Yumi claims that they’ll be restocked next year, and there will even be more to choose from! If you’re still interested in what’s offered now, you can pre-order them.

Creature Cups are a delightful gift for the hot-beverage consumer you know! They’ll make coffee breaks more interesting and surprise those unfamiliar with the “hidden creatures in your cup”!

Dream Weaver Shop

Posted on October 17, 2011 by Toast Pop Posted in Food .

The shop Dream Weaver is home to some pretty amazing tea, and you can find nearly any natural tea flavor you’re looking for. This shop makes buying tea as easy as placing a simple order, and waiting! According to Bob, the man who runs the Dream Weaver shop, “I prefer to sell whole leaf teas because they have much better flavor since when you cut the teas very fine to put them into tea bags they lose flavor from being exposed to air.” The tea also comes with a reusable tea bag that can be rinsed out after each use.

Bob’s site offers many options to customers, available for your purchase, he sells; green tea, black tea, chai, white tea, herbal tea, herbs, resins, and fudge. Bob sent two sample fall flavors to the magazine earlier this week, English Toffee, and Pumpkin Pie herbal tea; both of which were very refreshing. The two flavors, which were very different from one another, had a way of warming you after a day out in the cold.

If anyone has a strong love for tea, this is the place to go! Your quest for delicious, natural teas is over, just visit www.etsy.com/shop/dreamweavershop and get shopping, either for yourself, or for friends and relatives who love tea! This would make an excellent gift during the holidays!
