Personalised Hoodies

Posted on November 20, 2013 by Toast Pop Posted in Style .

Personalised HoodiesWhat have Justin Bieber, Renee Zellweger, Princes William and Harry, Michelle Obama and Zara Phillips in common? They’ve all been spotted, out and proud, wearing their hoodies. What was introduced as essential work clothing in freezing New York warehouses eighty years ago has now become one of the world’s most recognisable pieces of clothing.

Second question – what have legendary fashion designers Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and Giorgio Armani all introduced into their famous collections? You’ll probably have guessed the answer! With increasing numbers of older folk now wearing the garment as protection from biting winter winds, it’s surely true to say that the hoodie has definitely come of age.

What exactly is a hoodie?

One dictionary definition goes no further than describing it as “a hooded sweatshirt”. A more detailed explanation adds the muff (sometimes also called a kangaroo pocket) to keep your hands warm, drawstring to adjust the neck opening and, sometimes, a partial or full front zipper. To general tutting from some, hoodies have even been spotted being worn under a suit jacket!

How a hoodie spreads your message

One of the earliest developments in the use of embroidered hoodies was in US colleges; and now some schools in the UK have also included them as part of their uniform. They are a simple, terrific, and comfortable way of identifying your team – whether in an educational, sports, work or social environment. This can be for fun events, but also to present an effective marketing message about a business or organisation.

Moving the bar just one notch higher

Many hoodies already sport printed logos or messages across them. However, if you’d like to add just that extra touch of class to yours, help is at hand. With more than thirty years fashion wear experience, the people at Brandawear are experts at delivering a range of stunningly embroidered quality choices to help you create exactly the impression you wish.

About the embroidering process

Embroidery is accepted as the best way to produce truly high quality and long lasting designs for your hoodies. The process adds chain stitching directly into the garment to create your design. Embroidered hoodies are cost-effective because the design should outlast most other options. The original artwork, which Brandawear always assess for viability before starting the process, can use up to fifteen colours to produce a stunning finished effect for both slogans and logos.

Choosing your personalised hoodies

Before the process starts, you can select the most effective hoodie for the circumstances in which it will be worn. A visit to www.brandawear.co.uk will allow you first to examine their terrific range of quality garments, famous brand names, and sizes. Once that choice is made, you can then select your preferred colour. Simply enter the quantity you require and you can quickly place your embroidery on the breast, chest, sleeve or neck of the garment.

Within a few minutes, you’ll have designed your own hoodies, and your order will be confirmed. Before long their superbly embroidered logo or message will be proudly worn and effectively displayed for all the world to see. All those wearing it will surely feel good too!

ABC Cancels EM:HE

Posted on January 3, 2012 by kejohns323 Posted in Pop Culture, Uncategorized .

ABC’s hit reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will ring in its last new year on primetime lineup. After airing four very special episodes, the show will close its ninth and final season with their 200th episode on January 13th, 2012.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition first aired in 2003 as a spinoff from the original Extreme Makeover series where people underwent physical transformation to better their appearance. The goal of the Home Edition was to build new homes within a week for families in need. As the viewer ratings grew, so did the show itself as they visited all fifty states and rebuilt churches, schools, daycares, and other community buildings. EM:HE earned two Emmys for “outstanding reality program” in its nine years. It first aired on Wednesday nights but was later moved to Sundays where it remained till this past fall. ABC’s popular new series Once Upon a Time premiered in its place and EM:HE was moved to Friday nights where it struggled to keep an audience even with high-profile guest appearances from people like First Lady Michelle Obama and the Kardashians.

Ty Pennington, the design team leader and host of the show, called the experience “the greatest job of my life” on his personal website (Typennington.com). He is incredibly grateful for having been apart of a television show that changed the lives of so many people and says its been an honor to work side by side with the EM:HE families, builders, and thousands of volunteers who have proven that good hearts can and do change the world. Pennington is still working with ABC. This time he will be co-hosting with Tim Gunn and Harley Pasternack on a new health and lifestyle program called The Revolution, airing January 16th at 2pm.

Tune in Friday night at 8pm for the final two-hour episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

SMMile Photography

Posted on November 1, 2011 by Toast Pop Posted in Art .

Stephanie Michelle Muncy, started her own photography business “SMMile Photography” just earlier this year, and all ready is having success. Muncy runs and operates SMMile Photography by herself, without assistance for the most part. She does at times have an assistant at photo shoots however.

Muncy stated that she offers her clients multiple options, “Packages vary. I usually make a flash drive of all images and give a release form for a set price but other packages vary. My prints range from 1$-10$.”

It was Muncy’s love of photography that led to her starting SMMile Photography,“It started out just being a stamp I put on my photos so people couldn’t steal them and slowly grew into more. People started asking me to take pictures for them. So then it became my name. Then as I got more and more jobs, I turned it into my logo.”

When asked about who some of her clients have been thus far, Muncy replied, “War Torn Angel, a local band, will always be one of my favorite clients, they are some very talented musicians and i love traveling with them to shows. They were one of the first to ever hire me. I love them to death and thank them for supporting me and helping me get to where I am now. Also I’ve had many seniors in high school, along with couples and children from the area. It started out with friends and family then progressed much further.”

Within the next five years, Muncy hopes that SMMile Photography will grow, and that she will possibly have a studio. She takes great pride in the quality and affordability of her photography. She feels as though everyone should be able to capture a special moment in time, and she loves being the person responsible for helping them preserve that moment. Muncy said, “I am very blessed to be doing what I love. If you need pictures just look me up on Facebook.” You can do so by checking out the SMMile Photography Facebook page!

Shop Michelle Rose

Posted on October 14, 2011 by James Agee Posted in Style .

It is almost impossible to find cool things that are different and unique anymore, with all of the chaos of industrialized clothing and gifts. Yet, we sought out an amazing artist who creates unique things, and guess what? We found one! This jewelry creator describes the style that she creates as “Retro Futuristic Rock Star Style”.

Michelle Rose is a Los Angelas based entrepreneur who is making quite the impression on those who buy her jewelry. While her main talents consist of jewelry making, she also does her own graphic designing and promoting, and she does it well! We had the opportunity to get the inside scoop on what is behind this amazing artist with jewelry’s self made store.

When asked what got her started with jewelry making, Michelle told us,”I’ve been dabbling in jewelry making since I was a kid but was frustrated by my lack of training in creating components of my own design. Soon I found a way to laser cut plastic, which excited me, but that method has its limitations. I hope to take a metal casting class soon so I can create my own designs in three-dimensional metals, and perhaps other materials.” The fact that she uses different mediums when creating her jewelry is perhaps what makes it so unique.

We were curious if she does it for just a hobby or as a career, so we asked her and she responded with,”I left my job in the garment industry this year to pursue self-employment as a sole source of income. It’s been tough, but I am hoping to see an upswing within the next year as I realign myself and use my time to explore more creative outlets including creating more artistic clothing & jewelry pieces, handbags, paintings, and home decor items.” It’s possible to have a career in a field that you do enjoy working in, and Michelle is living proof of that. She currently only sells on the website called Etsy, but it appears that this business plan is serving her well.

Finally, we were curious as to what her plans are for the future of her business. We assumed that a business this creative has to have plans for expanding. She told us,”You’ve caught me in a major stage of transition! Many new things are coming up. It’s hard to say what exactly they will be, but as I said I want to work in a lot of other mediums. My new goal is to create more unique pieces with plenty of artistic value.” We can’t wait to see what is in store next for this artistic entrepreneur, but we have no doubt that it will be creative and surprise us all! With her unique sense of style and drive to make her brand successful, we know we will be hearing more about her in the future!

If you want to learn more about her business and where it is headed just check out her website at Michelle-Rose.com or to buy some of her uniquely styled jewelry pay a visit to her shop on Etsy by going to ShopMichelleRose.Etsy.com!
